Guests will enjoy a three-course dinner and drinks, followed by an inspiring talk from guest speaker Dr Nicholas Maartens — a highly experienced Melbourne-based neurosurgeon. Dr Maartens holds dual appointments in both the private and public sectors at The Alfred and also serves as a senior lecturer at Monash University.

With a career spanning over 13,000 neurosurgical procedures, he has authored more than 60 academic publications, including 12 book chapters. Dr Maartens is a general neurosurgeon with specialised expertise in complex spinal surgery, cranial microsurgery, and endoscopic skull base and pituitary surgery.
